tamguatlayI knew this.
Does it impliedly say to the speaker that you ware aware of the case from before and his/her information is not new for you?
Is so, what is the meaning of "I would know in this case"?

You are telling the speaker that his/her information is something you already knew.

"I would know this" is the wrong response.
