Hello

Are these sentences correct?

Before Kyoto we had not talked about global warming.
Before Kyoto we did not talk about global warming.

Do they mean the same?

Will it be the same if instead of "talked" we wrote "know"?

Before Kyoto we had not known about global warming.
Before Kyoto we did not know about global warming.

Still the same meaning for both of them
