Past perfect continuous or Past simple?

Greetings, guys!

I wonder if this sentence is correct: "One more famous spiritual place, which construction lasted for 10 years and was finished in 1666"

Or should it be written with past perfect continuos " .. had been lasting...".

Or maybe there is another correct option?
