Past perfect continuous and past perfect

Hello,
I wanted to make a sentence but I'm not sure if it's grammatically correct.I had studied English in Britain before I studied English in Italy. And if I wanna say that I continued learning English for 5 years in Britain and then I went to Italy and learned English there should I say;I had been studying English for 5 years in Britain before I studied English in Italy. And can I say;I had been studying English for 5 years in Britain before I had been studying English for 2 years in Italy.
Thank you,
