Hi teacher

What is the difference between these 2 sentences

I was missing her until she comes back
I had been missing her for a long time until she comes back

Does it mean that in the first sentence the time I miss her was shorter than in the second one

I wouldn't use the continuous tenses in your examples but some others might.
