Yesterday, my friend caused a car accident. The guy who had gotten hit called the police.


Is the bold-faced part correct? I used the past perfect because this person's car had been hit before he called the police. Thank you.

Is the bold-faced part correct? Yes. But you could also just say eg The guy who got hit called the police. because the sequence of events is clear with just Simple Past.
