Past perfect

Hello,

Could you please tell me whether my sentence is ok?

One had mopped the floor when/before the lady fell down.

(I mean the fact that the floor was mopped was before the lady's falling down)

Is the passive voice sentence ok?

The floor had been mopped when/before the lady fell down.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Coincidence.

Hi, The floor had been mopped before the lady fell over - Good. The floor was mopped before the lady fell over - Fine as well. It's not obligatory to use past perfect when before is already mentioned.
