What is the right usage...

In our previous issue, we discussed about XXXor



In our previous issue, we had discussed abour XXX

Well, ya got me there, pal. On this site we usually advise against using the pronoun "about."

"***" is the direct object of "discussed." "Discussed about" is considered redundant.

All three tenses are possible, because "previous issue" is not really a time factor.

(I suppose it could be. Is this the previous issue of a magazine, or the previous issue on an agenda?)
