Past or last year

I will upload a photo of myself but not right now. I got a bit chubby over the past year. I simply love food too much and I neglect my workout.

1) How long have you been neglecting your workout? If this has been a tendency for the past year, then I would say, I haven't been working out.

2) I simply love food too much, and I neglect my workout.
