Past->future

Hi
If the Scots had voted for independence yesterday, the new country would have come into existence on 24th March 2016. (Past->future)

is my sentence correct?

One meaning of the sentence is about past.( speaker's belief that something happened)
Here can future reference be also possible.(counter-factual as sounds to me)

According to context the sentence has two meanings. Which use is more usual. One for past (speaker's belief), and other for counterfactual.

If the Scots "had" voted indicates that they didn't vote, which, in turn indicates that the new country will not come into existence on March 24th, 2016. In this case, would have is correct. "Will have come" indicates an event that will take place in the future. "Would have come" indicates something that could have taken place in the future, had circumstances been different.

"If the Scots had voted for independence yesterday, the new country will have come into existence on 24th March 2016" means that by March 24, 2016, the new country of Scotland would have come into existence.
