Is there any difference between these two sentences?Are they both gramatically correct?

"Pauline has changed a lot.She DIDN't ALWAYS LOOK like that." and
"Pauline has changed a lot. She DIDN'T USE TO LOOK LIKE THAT always".

Only this one is correct. You’d have to get rid of always to correct the other one.

I'm not so sure. If she used to look like that only sometimes, then we can have:

She didn't ALWAYS used to....
She didn't used to ALWAYS....
