Past Experience vs. Story telling

With story telling, you either write in the present or in the past right? What about talking about your past?

For example:
Storytelling (Present):
1. I find something that was used long time ago and now it's replaced by the new doors and we are using it. (Is this okay?

Storytelling (Present/Past):
2. I found something that was used long time ago and now it's replaced by the new doors and we are using it. (Is this bad storytelling? I shouldn't mix tenses right? Unless it is necessary? So 'found' should be 'find'?)

Storytelling (Past):
3. I found something that was used long time ago and soon it was replaced by new door doors and we used that ever since. (Is this okay?

Past experience:
4. I found something that was used long time ago for house security and now it's replace by the new doors and we are using it. (Is this correct?)

Thanks.

In all 4 sentences, Jack, you've stated that "it's [been] replaced by the new doors" and then you say that "we are using it". If it's been replaced, why are you using it??

Sorry for the confusing I meant: 'it's' = 'it is'
