Past Cotinuous and time expressions

Hi all! Is this sentence "I was typing from 2 till 4" correct (Past Continuous) When we use Past Continuous, we don`t now when the action started or finished. I think we have to use Past Simple - Duration in Past - "I was typed from 2 till 4". There isn`t any continuation of this sentence. Thanks for help!

I was typed is passive and doesn't make sense. I would say I typed from 2 till but I have heard native speakers use the continuous tense in sentences like yours. Whether it is right or wrong is a matter of opinion, I guess.
