Hi, Please tell me if they are correct. Can you give me some ideas as to different ways (in different contexts) we can use past continuous other than something like "I was doing homework while eating dinner."
1. It was noon. He was looking at the math book. Then, he went out to look for his dog. 2. It was noon. He was looking at the math book while chewing gum. His friend walked in and asked him what he was doing. He said that he was looking (had been looking??) at the math book. 3. He was looking at the math book at noon in the afternoon. He wasn't doing anything special before then. Then he saw a car coming in the driveway through the diningroom window. It was his friend Joe (Is this correct?).
