Past continuous

I am wondering whether he past continuous tense is needed in theses cases:

You interrupted me!

When did i interrupt you?

You interrupted me when you said: I know that store.

I wasn’t interrupting you when I said that.

Is the past continuous needed in the last sentence or in any of them for that matter?

Second example:

I risked my life for you. Show some respect.

When did you risk your life for me?

You were risking/ risked your life for me when you jumped into the water.

Is the continuous better in this sentence?

In each example, both the simple past tense and the past continuous would be understood. However, I think that the simple past is more appropriate. The past continuous is typically used when an event or activity of a longer duration is interpreted by an event or activity of a shorter duration.
