Past?

Hi

He thanked me for what I ______ the previous week.

A. had done
B. did
C. was doing

All options are in past form. Only one option is correct. I think this question is wrong. I think all of the options are suitable for the blank in this context. Am I wrong? I need an explanation. Thanks.
