Sorry, another question...How do we know which is "subject" & "object" in the sentences?

.
John likes pizza.
Pizza is liked by John.

There is no object in the second sentence. The subject of the passive sentence (pizza) is the object of its active equivalent. By John is an adverb. John is the agent in both sentences.

Of course, some passive sentences can have objects:

John gave Mary a pizza.-- John

Thanks for the reply, but sometime is quite difficult to know which is Subject or Object. Or could i say Object = things, Subject = people

.
No, you cannot say that at all.

John loves Mary.-- both S and O are people
The book hit the floor.-- both S and O are things.

Also:

John loves books.
The book hit John in the face.

S and O are grammatical concepts.
