Passive/Active voice - how would you rewrite this sentence?

Microsoft Word is flagging the following sentence fragment as using the passive rather than active voice:

"Existing alerts that utilise those paths are not being updated"

Which is of course reasonable, but how would one rewrite that fragment in such a way that it uses the active voice, but does not sound stilted or artificial?

You need to convert the unmentioned agent to an explicit agent, which becomes the subject. The system is not applying updates to existing alerts that utilize those paths. The system is not updating existing alerts that utilize those paths.
