Passive with come over

Hi. I recently tried to make up a passive sentence with the phrasal verb "come over", because I didn't want to mention whom the receiver was visited by, so I came up with this:

-I was come over (by my friends)

Google translator claims the sentence is okay, at least it translates it properly. Can you please tell me if this sentence okay? If not, could you please tell why? Thanks in advance.

The active is My friends came over . The object of the active voice becomes the subject of the passive voice. There is no object in the active voice version.

  • The active is My friends came over .
  • The object of the active voice becomes the subject of the passive voice.
  • There is no object in the active voice version.
  • Therefore, the passive voice is impossible.

No. "come over" in the sense of "visit" is intransitive, so you cannot make a passive sentence with it.

That is an impossible transformation. The sentence with the meaning you desire is:

I was visited by my friends.

In words, the closest might be:

I was overcome by joy / grief.
