Passive voice to active voice

It has come to my attention that I write my statement in the passive voice all to often. I would to know how to convert such statement to the active voice. I only took the required English classes in college, therefore I am a novice when comes to diction. Here is an example of one my statements written in the passive voice:

"Society is predicated on peace."

When there's absolutely no context to give us a clue as to who or what is doing the "predicating," we typically say "People do it!"
