Passive Voice or Participle Adjective

We've been discussing some examples and still are confused:

1. The file is being processed. (Present Continuous or Progressive, Passive Voice)

2. The task is processed. - Is it Passive or just an adjective?

Looks like in #2 PROCESSED is a participle adjective while in the sentence THE FILE IS PROCESSED EVERY DAY it is a passive construction and PROCESSED is the main verb. Is it right?
