Passive voice of 'realise'

Hi Everybody,

Does it sound natural to use 'realize' meaning 'to become aware' in the passive voice like in the sentence below? Thanks for your feedback.


When one gets used to handling life difficulties in such a way, then it may bring drug addiction faster than it could be realized.
