Hi, I would like to ask you a question whether you know of what way people used to construct passive voice in Middle English. I am curious and I did not find any information regarding it on net, there is a lot of info but only describing active voice.
Was it like it is now, in modern English? For example, was it "thou hast been yafen hit" to say "you have been given that"? Maybe, it would be obvious to me, if I had been a native speaker, but I am not. I am interested in past English, so if only you knew, I would be grateful to hear how it used to be formed.
Regards, Krzysiek
