Passive voice
Can anybody enlighten me as to the fact that in the passive voice iit s possible in present perfect continuous. For example
"The spy was been being watched by the KGB.
I belive not but I have heard that in the bowels of smoewhere it exists. Is it true? Is it correct grammar.

"The KGB has been watching the spy." (active voice)
"The Spy has been being watched by the KGB." (passive voice)
"The Spy has been being watched by the KGB." (passive voice)

"The spy was been being watched by the KGB.2 - that is not standard english
"The spy had been being watched by the KGB." is possible
"The spy was being watched by the KGB." is also possible -
this one might be what you mean by present perfect continous - tho I dont use such terms myself!

Present perfect continuous in the passive form.
eg. He has been scolded all morning for the single mistake in his assignment.

'The Spy has been being watched' - it doesn't sound very natural to me, as I've never heard anyone use it like this.
What my English teacher of 10 years ago would probably suggest in this case would be to rephrase it thus:
'The Spy has been under surveillance...'
