Passive verb or adjective

I am focused on him. Is this correct? Is focused an adjective or verb here?

I focus on him. This is a verb but the first sentence I'm not sure.

It is not possible to meaningfully complete the sentence "I am focused on him by...". Compare with "The rays are focused by the lens", where "focused" is a passive verb.
