passive of leave

What is the passive of "We left the bank."?
I believe it can't be "The bank was left by us", can it?
If I am right, then why is it that this sentence doesn't have a corresponding passive construction?

"The bank was left by us" is perfectly grammatical, but I can't think why anybody would want to say that in real life. Rover

Would you say something like this then in real life?
"The bank was left by those armed robbers who threatened to kill people and successfully stole $ 1.5 million in cash."
Or is this sentence still awkward?

"Leave", in the sense of 'departed', is restricted to active voice, hence passive "The bank was left by us" is probably ungrammatical.
