As an aside, is "come out of house" a British usage?

I haven't heard it before.

As an additional aside, the comma before because seems to serve no practical purpose. I would not use it.

(I have never heard come out of house before, either. You can't go wrong with come out of the house, though.)

I agree with Gus on this one: "come out of the house."

The reason I thought it might be British, is that we have
"He was in hospital." BrE; and "He was in the hospital." AmE.
