Passing or passing in

Hello everyone,

Could you please tell if both "passing" and "passing in" are OK in the following sentences?

1. My passing the exam made me happy.

2. My passing in the exam made me happy.

"Passing in" is wrong. Also, "my" is strange because of "me," which serves as the subject of "passing."

Passing the exam made me happy.
Passing the exam made Amilia happy.

Compare when there are two different subjects:

My passing the exam made my mother happy.
