Passed

As the years passed by I have changed myself from a extremely shy/timid boy to a bit bold one.

Is the above sentence framed grammatically ok?

Top answer

No, not quite As the years passed by, I have changed from an extremely shy boy to a somewhat / rather bold one. ("somewhat is closer in meaning to "bit"; "rather" represents a greater degree of boldness) "myself" doesn't quite work there. Also, "a bit bold" doesn't good to me.
