Is it normal to say' I pass out this year ' to show I completed a course successfully ?

I would find that phrase confusing. I would prefer someone to say "I passed Algebra." or "I finished my freshman year."

You don't pass out that way in American English. "I graduate this year." or "I complete the course this year."
