"Pass by"

Can I use "The bus just passed by and you missed it" as an alternative for "I just saw the bus going this way and you missed it"

Thanks!

Hi,

Do you mean eg the bus left the bus stop at 10am, and you came at 10:02 ?

You just missed the bus.

Thanks again all of you! I arrived at the stop at 10.02, but I asked somebody who was already waiting there. Can I still use "passed by" in the context? As MM said, that person was already there at the stop and the bus might have gone past her.

Hi,

My way is much more natural.

You can say 'passed by' if you want to, although 'went by' is better. However, these versions sound like the bus didn't stop at that place.
