Could you tell me the differences of the two? Thanks in advance!

They are much the same, a party being definitely celebratory while a get-together may or may not be.

A get together is less crowded and more as a hangout whereas a party involves music and such

In my mind, a "get together" is specific people in for a dinner or BBQ, pop, beer etc. vs.

A Party with random people, relatives, or friends celebrating an event often with alcohol.
