There are various lists, but perhaps the most basic is a list of seven: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections .

I HAVE CHECKED MY GRAMMAR BOOKS BEFORE POSTING

(1) I believe that there are 8 parts of speech as traditionally taught

to high school students in the United States.

Wow! = Interjection (shows emotion).

I = Pronoun (takes the place of my name).

really = adverb. (It "adds" to the verb.)

love = verb ("really" tells how much I love).
