Looking for the subject, verb, direct object and indirect object in this sentence: Unfortunately the day we went it was raining, but that didn't stop us.

Unfortunately, it was raining (on) the day that we went, but that did not stop us.

In my opinion, you have two main sentences: It was raining on the day that we went./ That did not stop us.

(a) It = subject; was raining = verb.

(b) That = subject ; did stop = verb.

(c) us = direct obje
