Partners

I don't which to say?

1 I was partners with her/She was my partner when we lost the championship.

One more thing:

1 I've grown so I'll never be able to use the gloves (ever) again.

Would you leave EVER?

2 The shelf fell and only half/partially hit my head.

Thanks

These are unnatural sentences although the meaning came across.

I would write them as follows:

1 - She was my partner at championship match in which we lost.

2 -I outgrew my gloves; and I don't think I'll ever be able to fit in them agian.

3 -Part of the shelf hit my head as it fell.
