Please Confirm/Help me in understanding the following about Participles As Adjectives.
1. Noun adjunct VS present participle "in case of words which act as both noun and verb, we have to use noun adj. not participle" eg. work experience not working experience, correct? and for words (strictly verbs) we have to use participles eg. tiring journey (since tire cannot act as noun adj.)

2. Even though work is an adjective why adding adverb/determiner is not sounding correct.
3. Compound Words with Gerund and Noun (Eg. Dancing bird/ working professional) VS Participle (Tiring Journey), what is the difference. how to spot the difference? one way to check is by adding adverbs. right?
