Participles and Phrases

I need help with participles. I need to draw a line under the participle or participial phrase and draw two lines under the noun or pronoun it modifies.

Here are the sentences i am having problems with

1. Waving him on, the woman sat on a bench.

Is the particple waving, participial phrase Waving him on and the noun it is modifing woman?

2. Looking quite cute, the little girl made the woman feel better.

Is the participle looking, participial phrase Looking quite cute and the noun it modifies little girl?
