participle sentence

She shows her extreme mental agony by saying “One of us should die” to be free from the confusion. Experiencing this hardship, she ended up getting at home.

Q) I used the participle sentence in the underlined part to mean "After she experienced this hardship, she ended up getting at home." Does this make sence?

Having experienced this hardship, she went home.

"get at home" is not natural English.

Ah, okay.. Can't I simply say, "Experienced this hardship, she ended up getting home." Is this like "After she experienced this hardship, she ended up getting home"?

2. If I put "Having" in front of "experienced", is it like "After she had experienced this hardship, she ended up getting home"?
