Participle phrase.

Hello guys.
I am wondering whether there are any mistakes in both of my sentences. Do they make any sense?

1. ''I have finished my homework writing on a piece of rough paper.''
2. ''I have done my part sending the emails, now it is your turn.''

Do I have to put a comma in between homework and writing and part and sending?

Does this sentence sound natural and grammatically correct?
''If we leave this place now, we could still make it, paying only 2 dollars.''

Or maybe ''If we leave this place now, we could still make it, having to pay only 2 dollars.'' sounds better?

I don't see a reason to do that.

Not really.

If we leave now, we can still make it for only $2.

There is seldom any need for participial clauses in the ordinary sentences of everyday conversation.

Thank you, CalifJim.
That is exactly what I am looking for!
