Hello everyone. I have a question.
I tried making a couple of sentences which I think can mean "As the play was over, the audience came out of the hall," using the participle construction. Could you evaluate each of the following three sentences depending on whether it is natural?
(A) The play being over, the audience came out of the hall.
(B) The play finishing, the audience came out of the hall.
(C) The play having finished, the audience came out of the hall.
All 3 are unnatural.
