Participle adjective

Sir,

Can we say?

The book was bored.

I want to know that can we use past participle(adjective) with things like book, film, journey etc.

IT never sounds good to say "bored film".

I think with thing or with concept or feeling we should use persent participle(adjective).

What do you think.

Please help me.

Regard.
