Hello,

What is difference between two sentences?

1) Kyra scanned the newspaper, looking for articles about the baseball game.

2) Kyra scanned the newspaper to look for articles about the baseball game.

So in both the sentences, there is a purpose. Then why use " to look " or "looking" ?
