part of a song

Hello,
how do you say ''a ( some) part(s) of a song?''
And do you say "Sing us (that specific word you recommend) ." when you want to hear a part of the song?

Thanks in advance.

If it is the part of a song that repeats, then it is called the "Chorus" or "Refrain."
The other part is called a verse (stanza).

A verse is made up of lines - eg. Sing me the first few lines of "Mary had a little lamb".

Thank you!
So do you say "a verse of a song"?
I am translating a poem into English and there is a verse saying "without a butterfly or a verse of a song"
How does it feel like?

In direct translation, the word should be 'measure,'
I'm afraid it might sound awkward...
I need your help!

EstherKim there is a verse saying "without a butterfly or a verse of a song"
That seems like a line, not a verse.

Look at these lyrics. There are three verses. Each verse has 6 lines, and is followed by a two-line chorus, which is the same after each verse.

Verse 1
Oh, where have you been,
Billy Boy, Billy Boy?
Oh, where have you
