Part of, a part of

Do you say "part of....." or "a part of....."?

For instance, should I say, "The following is part of an interview with Wendy Grossman, a computer expert" or "The following is a part of an interview with Wendy Grossman, a computer expert"?

Thank you.

This one. You use "a" when you mean that the thing belongs, for example, "Although Gerald was only an ex-son-in-law, we made him a part of our family Christmas."
