Parsing

John told me he didn't like Peter.

John - a subject;

told - a predicator;

me - an indirect object;

(that) he didn't like Peter (a noun clause) - a direct object.

Is my parsing correct?

This is how I understand predicate: The part of the sentence that contains the verb and its object or complements and gives more information about the subject. For example: John was combing his hair . was combing his hair = predicate Let's wait for an expert's opinion.

Hi Tom,

The predicate is not a predicator. There is a difference: a predicato
