parents' visit

Hi there, two questions about "visit":
1) could someone tell me please if "parents' visit" means both my parents visiting and a visit to my parents? just filling in a form, answering the question "what's the purpose of your trip?" as I'm going to see my parents.
2)As for "visit to " can it be used with people, as in "My visit to Paul went well."?

Joe. Also, if "visit to" is only used with places, I should probably write "my visit to my parents' went well", meaning parents' place, shouldn't I? My dicti
