Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Parents are the best teachers.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Family plays an important role of every individual. Parents are the two unique people who could bring us to this world so they can always understand and tolerate us. However, teachers are the ones who can help us progressing in a particular subject and give us good advice. In my opinion, parents are not always the best teachers for two following reasons.

Firstly, a teacher has to be good at the field taught. Parents do not have knowledge of every single thing in this world. As a result, they are not able to teach their children about something they do not know. For example, if parents all work as workers, how can they teach you maths to get the bachelor degree. Furthermore, a good teacher has a good ability of teaching skills and expressions, which means that people who don’t have those features can’t be good teachers for their children.

Secondly, a good teacher is always supposed to understand well the competences and ability of their student. Apparently parents can understand well their children about their c and behaviours but not every parents can know the real capacity and competences of them. Some people have bad temper and sometimes they can not control themselves or keep calm in teaching their children. On the other hand, a good teacher always knows what to do with their students, and they have definitely enough patience to continue in all cases.

In conclusion, parents are not always best teachers. They can be good teachers but best teachers are normally found at school or maybe simply in your daily life, and they are the ones who know what is the best for you. Evidently, your parents can be your best teachers and that is also a casual case because they are usually supposed to be closest people to you.
