Parenthetical Commas

Commas are probably the most confusing punctuation mark among all of the punctuation marks. There are so many rules about it that sometimes it gets too overwhelming.

I already know the basics which are: The "Fanboy" method, the listing method, the dependent over the independent rule, the positive, and dates. But somehow, English teachers fail to mention that there are more rules. They keep forgetting about the more confusing topics such as parenthetical commas.

Anyway, I was wondering if there is a way to figure out how to put commas in the correct places.
