Paraphrase for 'must'
Hi teachers,
Would 'is obliged to' be an appropriate paraphrase for 'must' or will it be better to say 'has the necessity to' in the following paragraph?
How much money is there in Robert’s wallet? There isn’t a lot of money; in fact, there's only a little money.With the money in his wallet, and a few dollars in his pants pocket, he must buy a train ticket to Wilton and a birthday present for Caroline too. And in three days, he must pay Mrs. Anderson his rent. That's a lot of money for him!

Thanks! Sure that one works. But then how the students will get the meaning of obligation or necessity if those two possibilities are included in the explanation for 'must'?
