Paraphrase for 'eventually'

Hi teachers,
Eventually, two boys in another boat towed their boat back to the island.
Would the following paraphrases be appropriate for 'eventually' in the above sentence?
a) at some later time
b) at an unspecified future time; at an indefinite time in the future
c) after an unspecified period of time or an especially long delay
d) At some point in time

If 'b' is also appropriate. I'd prefer this one.
If 'eventually' implies some sort of delay then 'c' is the one. Right?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mister Micawber,
Thanks for your help. Then, if it is at an indefinite time in the future, are we talking about a short time, some time, or long time in the future? Or we can't tell with the adverb 'eventually'?

I saw this on the Internet. Do you agree?
With "eventually,"

Tenacious LearnerI saw this on the Internet. Do you agree? With "eventually," I hear that the timeframe may be long and may never arrive, so there's some doubt. With "after a while," the message seems to be that something will happen short term; there appears to be less doubt.
I don't see that necessarily, though 'after a while' seems more offhand/casual: too m
